Service Description

Love the peaceful, orderly look of a classic Montessori space but dread spending your precious weekends driving across Houston searching for the right materials? Let us handle the treasure hunting for you! Authentic Montessori environments value real, natural materials over bright plastic toys. We prioritize solid wood, heavy woven baskets, glass pitchers, and real metal utensils that offer beautiful textures and weight. Through our signature Sustainable Heirloom Curation service, we personally scout local antique shops, estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores to uncover exceptional, pre-loved pieces. This intentional process keeps high-quality items out of landfills, significantly lowers your overall material budget, and creates a premium space filled with history and soul. How the Journey Works: Phase 1: The Design Blueprint- Following your in-home consultation, we build a customized visual Mood Board in Canva mapping out the exact layout, aesthetic direction, and necessary materials for your child's space. Phase 2: The 21-Day Sourcing Window- Once you approve the design and place your budget deposit, our team spends three weeks personally scouting local vintage markets for your items. Safety-critical pieces and textiles are always purchased brand new, while functional beauty is curated sustainably. Phase 3: The Staging Day-We deliver, unpack, and beautifully style your new environment in a single afternoon. You walk into a perfectly prepared space without having to lift a finger. Investment & Structural Details Sourcing Fee: $300.00 flat rate (Paid upfront to launch the curation window). Material Budget Deposit: $500.00 standard deposit (Funded upfront to purchase items; fully itemized and reconciled at project completion). Sustainable Fallback Rule: If a specific functional piece cannot be found locally by Day 18, we automatically pivot to purchase a premium, new, plastic-free equivalent to keep your setup day strictly on schedule. Assembly Boundaries: We handle styling and placement. Parents remain legally responsible for assembling flat-pack items and wall-anchoring heavy shelves or mirrors.

Cancellation Policy

Financial Structure & Curation StartUpfront Fees: Parents must pay the non-refundable sourcing fee upfront to cover design, travel, and procurement time. Material Deposit: The material budget deposit is separate and custom-tailored to your room's spatial constraints. Commencement Limit: Sourcing operations will not begin until the signed agreement and full material deposit clear. This clearance marks the official project "Clock Start". Reconciliation Ledger: A final itemized receipt ledger will be provided upon project completion. Unused material funds are instantly refunded; minor pre-approved overages are invoiced upon delivery. 2. Timeline & The Sustainable Fallback RuleSourcing Window: The standard procurement timeline is exactly 21 days (3 weeks) from contract signature and deposit clearance. This allows adequate time to scout local antique shops, estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores for pre-loved treasures. The Day 18 Pivot Mandate: Because vintage inventory relies entirely on market availability, if a specific functional item cannot be discovered by Day 18, the studio will automatically pivot. The studio will purchase a premium, brand-new, plastic-free equivalent (solid wood, glass, or metal) to ensure the prepared environment is completed on schedule. 3. Safety, Assembly, & Material Liability ReleasePhysical Installation Boundaries: This service includes one integrated Delivery and Staging Day. For strict safety and liability reasons, the consultant does not provide physical installation, wall-mounting, or furniture anchoring services. Parents remain solely responsible for flat-pack furniture assembly and anchoring heavy shelves, dressers, or low mirrors to prevent tip-over hazards. Vintage Material Disclosures: The client acknowledges that this service explicitly includes pre-loved, vintage, and antique items to lower material costs and promote ecological sustainability. These unique items are purchased "as-is" and may not carry modern manufacturer labels, consumer safety warnings, or original packaging. All sourced materials are final sale. Assumption of Risk: The client assumes all physical risks and liability associated with introducing these curated, second-hand items into their home environment, releasing Mindful Learner's Montessori Studio from any associated claims.
